The semi-porous inner liner of a FloodSax sandbag
contains hundreds of super absorbent crystals, which
upon contact with water, absorb up to 90% capacity
within 3 minutes. The crystals then retain the water and the bag acts just like a traditional sandbag, keeping water at bay.
FloodSax are particularly suited to commercial and
residential use, including hospitals, aged care, shopping centres and child-care facilities.
LIGHTWEIGHT - A regular sandbag weighs over 10kgs. When contrasted with FloodSax weighing less than 1kg (before being energised) it is easy to see FloodSax are the obvious choice for the elderly and those unable to manage traditional sandbags.
COMPACT - A pack of FloodSax is only a few centimetres thick and weighs just 4 kilograms. Due to their compact nature, FloodSax are easy to store, so you will be ready for any water related incident that may occur and have a 5 year shelf life.
EASE OF USE - Using a traditional sandbag requires many steps, you must get the bags, procure the sand, fill the bags, and finally stack to direct water flow. When using FloodSax you simply open the bag, energise the sack with floodwater and then stack.
